If you have not already completed a criminal history check and clearance, you must do this before your Missouri teaching certificate will be issued to you. You must be fingerprinted through 3M/Cogent. To schedule an appointment, you must first register with the Missouri Automated Criminal History Site (MACHS) at www.machs.mo.gov or call 877‑862‑2425. To identify Northwest as your licensing agency, you need to use the following:

Fingerprints captured electronically are more accurate, and the results can be expected within three weeks. The cost of electronic fingerprinting is $44.80. The results of the fingerprints are valid for one year after the clearance date. If you already have a clearance that will be valid upon your certification, you do not need to complete another one.
