For the 2024-2025 school year, tuition for face-to-face Dual Credit courses will be $97 per credit hour. Tuition for online Dual Credit courses will be $107 per credit hour.
These fees include textbooks and laptops!
Bills for dual credit are issued the last week of each month. Bills are mailed to the address on file. Students are encouraged to pay the total balance on or before the due date to avoid finance charges. Students are automatically enrolled in an installment plan at the time they receive the first bill of the semester.
Fall semester due dates are the 15th of August, September, October, and November. Spring semester due dates are the 15th of January, February, March, and April. A student may not enroll for subsequent semesters until the account balance is paid in full.
Consider tuition insurance to protect your investment.
Students are provided their Northwest Network Account (s#) on their class schedule. An email was sent from NoReply@nwmissouri.edu containing the initial password and login instructions. The email was sent to the email address provided on the dual credit application.
To access the Payment Center online and make a payment:
In the Payment Center, you can add banking information for electronic refunds, save payment methods and set up authorized users. If a parent or guardian will be paying the balance, it is recommended that students set up an authorized user, with their own login information.
Payment Center How-To guides are available here: https://www.nwmissouri.edu/studentaccounts/paying-your-bill.htm.

Between the time of application and finding out if you’ve been awarded funds, bills are still due to Northwest Missouri State University. Any overage will be refunded to students.
Printed and electronic transcripts can be requested online through Parchment.
The goal of the CORE 42 is to facilitate the seamless transfer of academic credits. The completion of the CORE 42 at any public institution of higher education will transfer to every other public institution of higher education in the state and substitute for the receiving institution’s general education requirement. Individual courses that comprise the CORE 42 are guaranteed to transfer one-to-one among all public (and participating independent) colleges and universities in Missouri. All courses that are part of the CORE 42 will have the above logo embedded in the course description within the University catalog.

Drop: if a student is taking multiple courses at Northwest and they want to leave one of the courses, they would need to initiate a drop.
Withdraw: if a student would like to drop all their courses, or they are only in one course and they would like to leave it, that is considered withdrawing from the University.
A student may withdraw from a semester-long course before the 80% point or until the last day of fall semester finals for yearlong courses. For available dates, visit Registrar Calendars and Dates. In the event of an on-time withdraw, all tuition charges will be removed except for a $50 processing fee. When a student withdraws, a ‘W' grade will be recorded on the student's Northwest transcript for each course. If a student drops a course but remains enrolled in at least one course, the tuition will be removed and the processing fee will not be assessed.
A change to a student's high school schedule does not automatically change their status at Northwest Missouri State University
If a student wants to drop or withdraw, that process begins with the student contacting the Dual Credit office at 816.272.4621 or dualcr@nwmissouri.edu.
Dual credit students taking regular summer courses, will follow the published refund guidelines found at https://www.nwmissouri.edu/studentaccounts/financialdates.htm.
Students will work with their high school counselors to enroll in Online Dual Credit courses throughout the regular academic year.
Online courses are not taught by someone at your high school. These courses will utilize Northwest Online, and will never meet in person.
