The Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development requires Dual Credit instructors to have a minimum of a master's degree that includes a substantial study (a minimum of 18 graduate-level semester hours) appropriate to the academic field in which they teach. Approval of specific courses and respective Dual Credit instructors will be based upon credentials and recommendation of the appropriate Department Chair/School Director.
Dual Credit instructors are paid for their participation in Northwest dual credit courses. These payments are based on student enrollment and school size and range from $150 to $300 per course.

Online courses are not taught by someone at your high school. These courses will utilize Northwest Online, and will never meet in person.
2023-2024 Academic Year-Long online Dual Credit classes will run during the University's regular Fall and Spring semester. The following dates correspond directly to courses that begin on August 21, 2023 and end on April 26, 2024.

Northwest Dual Credit students are provided with textbooks at no cost. School Counselors or Instructors will make arrangements to pick up textbooks for their school's online and face-to-face students.

Laptops are also provided to Dual Credit students at no cost. If you need a laptop for use during your Dual Credit course, you will need to contact the Jon T.
