Each scholarship has its own eligibility requirements. The scholarships, including the number of recipients and award amounts, are based on the availability of funds.
Student Support Services offers its members exclusive scholarship opportunities. TRIO Student Support Services participants may complete the Northwest Standard Scholarship Application, available September 1 - February 1, to apply for the following scholarships:
Marion & HJ Fischer Memorial Scholarship
Recipient shall be a second-year Northwest student in good academic standing who has completed the TRIO Student Support Services Bridge program including all first-year service requirements.
C M & M Saville Student Services Scholarship
Minimum of at least 24 credit hours completed at Northwest with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher by May.
Active Membership in TRIO Student Support Services.
Minimum Participation Requirements: All TRIO Student Support Services students, regardless of grade level, are expected to actively participate in the TRIO SSS program. Although active participation may look different for each student, the following meetings and activities are recommended.
Meet with your TRIO SSS academic success coach (required 2 times each term).
Meet with your TRIO SSS peer mentor (recommended 2 times each term).
Meet with the TRIO SSS financial literacy coordinator (as needed).
Attend SSS events, organized by peer mentors and professional staff (recommended 2-3 times each term).
Complete Online College Success Modules about topics that interest you (as needed).

Recipient shall be a graduate of the Upward Bound or Upward Bound Math & Science programs at Northwest
Be an active and current member of TRIO Student Support Services
Be enrolled as a full-time student at Northwest

Pat Danner Scholarship on behalf of Congresswoman Danner
Preference shall be given to a displaced homemaker, as defined by the State of Missouri: An individual whose principal job has been homemaking; who has lost their main source of income because of divorce, separation, death or disability of a spouse, or loss of eligibility for public assistance; and who has not been employed on a full-time basis of 40 hours/week for at least three years. Note: If no applicants meets the criteria, selection committee shall have discretion to award the scholarship to a similarly worthy student who is overcoming barriers to receive an education.
Minimum enrollment in nine credit hours.
Show progress toward the completion of pertinent degree requirements.
