Mozingo Outdoor Education Recreation Area (MOERA)

The Mozingo Outdoor Education Recreation Area (MOERA) is a 320-acre parcel of land situated on beautiful Mozingo Lake. MOERA is operated by Campus Recreation and provides a variety of outdoor education and recreation opportunities, including:

• Climbing Courses (Odyssey Challenge Course, Alpine Tower, Carolina Wall, Team Development Course)
• Shooting Sports (Trap)
• Canoes and Kayaks
• Other Outdoor Experiences
• Observatory (operated by the Department of Natural Sciences)
• Outdoor Research Areas (conducted by a variety of departments)

It provides safe, fun and engaging experiential education opportunities, whether you are interested in learning new outdoor skills, staying physically active, or developing teamwork, communication or leadership skills.
