Alex Knacktive for the experience to work with real-life clients and build new relationships. She looks forward to working on real-world problems and enhancing her skill set. After graduation, She hopes to work for a company like Patagonia that has a unique corporate culture.
Project Manager Paige Brotherton is a senior from Kearney, Missouri, majoring in interactive digital media: new media. Paige joined Knacktive to better understand the marketing and advertising world and how everything works. After graduation in May 2019, she hopes to work at an advertising agency as a project manager in Kansas City.
Digital Manager Taylor Johnson is a senior from Olathe, Kansas, majoring in interactive digital media: new media. Taylor joined Knacktive because she knew this experience would push her in new ways while preparing her for a career post-graduation. She is eager to apply everything she has learned in her courses and dive into the digital media industry. After graduation in May, Taylor hopes to become a user experience designer in Kansas City.
Art Director Kathy Nguyen is a senior from Kansas City, Missouri, majoring in graphic design. Kathy joined Knacktive because she wanted to challenge herself and experience working with real clients. What she hopes to learn from Knacktive is to design something out of her comfort zone in order to broaden her design skills. After graduation, Kathy hopes to work for an advertising company like Barkley in Kansas City.
Graphic Designer Madison Mead is a senior from Kansas City, Missouri, majoring in graphic design and minoring in advertising. Maddie joined Knacktive because she had always heard great things about it. She loved the idea of being able to work with a real client and gain experience before graduation. After graduation, Maddie hopes to work in Kansas City at an advertising agency as a graphic designer.
Public Relations Manager Jocelyn Contreras is a senior from Kansas City, Missouri, majoring in Communications: Public Relations. Jocelyn joined Knacktive because she knew it would be a great way to gain real-world experience and add more pieces to her portfolio. She is excited to use the skills she gained at Northwest to come up with something that can stay with Maryville for a long time. After graduation, She hopes to work for an advertising or marketing like Sullivan Higdon & Sink in Kansas City.
Marketing Strategist Nathan Galbraith is a senior from Conception Junction, Missouri, double majoring in business management and marketing. Nathan joined Knacktive in order to get first-hand, real-world experience in marketing. Working for Maryville is special to him as Nathan grew up in and around Maryville, so it will be exciting for him to come back home after graduation to see his work being implemented. After graduation, Nathan plans to continue his education and pursue a master's of business administration degree at Northwest.
Media Manager Joseph Funkhouser is a senior from Oak Forest, Illinois, a south suburb of Chicago majoring in marketing. Joseph hopes to enter the MBA program at Northwest after graduating in May and earning his master’s degree. Joseph is a member of the Bearcats baseball team, and when he is not attending school or baseball, he enjoys watching Netflix shows and listening to music.
