Homecoming Parade

The Homecoming parade is a vibrant showcase of Bearcat pride and creativity, featuring competitions among student organizations in categories like float building, jalopies, dancing clowns and paper mache heads. It's a must-see event with energy and fun, perfect for spectators of all ages to enjoy as they cheer on the participants and be a part of the Bearcat pride. 

Local businesses, schools and civic organizations participate in the parade with walk-in entries, creating a true community event. The parade follows detailed guidelines outlined in the Homecoming bylaws, ensuring a fun and organized experience for all.

Parade Route

The Homecoming parade starts at the corner of Ray and College Avenue, proceeding east on Fourth Street and ending at Main Street. The parade takes place in any weather, with the exception of lightning; patrons should not enter the parade route once the parade begins.

The general public may enter campus from Second, Third, Seventh and Ninth streets and walk to viewing areas.
