Program(s) Available: Pre-professional
Do you love helping others? Are you focused on improving the health and wellbeing of patients? As a nurse, you'll get the chance to leave a positive mark on someone's life. If you are a compassionate individual, a pre-nursing major may be right for you.
The course selection for pre-nursing students is flexible and designed to fulfill the requirements of institutions that Northwest students plan on applying to after graduation.
There are many avenues available to pursue a career in nursing. For our pre-nursing program, students are typically at Northwest for two years, completing general education and prerequisite courses for nursing school. Then, students transfer and complete the last two years of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at the institution of their choice. Northwest students have found great success both at Northwest and nursing school!
*Enrollment is not open to students on F-1 Visas for the pre-professional program.
If you are already a registered nurse (RN) and are interested in completing a BSN, Northwest's RN-BSN program might be a great fit for you.
