Applied Health and Sports Science

The School of Health Science and Wellness at Northwest Missouri State University offers a Master of Science in Applied Health and Sports Science dedicated to the development of future leaders in a variety of health, wellness, and physical activity and sports settings. The Bureau of Labor Statistics projected a 16% growth for all healthcare professions between 2020 and 2030. This program is a 30-36 credit hour program and can be completed as early as 12 months.

Admissions requirements

Candidates for the Master of Science in Applied Health and Sports Science should meet the following requirements:

  • Three or four-year undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university
  • 2.75 Grade-point average (GPA) on a 4.00 scale
  • 280 GRE score
  • Major or minor in Sport Management, Exercise Science, Human Performance, Kinesiology, Health and Wellness Physiotherapy, Physical Education and Recreation
