Northwest Missouri State University’s Tourin’ Bearcats, a travel program for alumni and friends, has added a second opportunity to experience the “Alpine Lakes and Scenic Trains” of Switzerland and Northern Italy next summer.
The Tourin’ Bearcats are now accepting reservations for the excursion scheduled for July 13-23, 2025. The travel program added the offering after all spots sold for a June excursion to the region.
“We are pleased by the interest in the travel experiences we offer and the opportunities for our Bearcats and friends to travel together,” Northwest Director of Alumni Relations Duane Havard said. “These experiences deliver special connections and memories that last for years to come.”
The travel experience will feature Switzerland and Northern Italy, giving travelers an opportunity to explore Zurich, Zermatt, St. Moritz and Lucerne. The adventure will include a scenic rail trip through the Bernina Pass and a cruise on Lake Maggiore. Travelers also will explore the Borromeo Palace and Mount Pilatus.
Prices for the tour begin at $5,999 per person, and a $698 deposit is due at the time of reservation. The reservation deadline is Jan. 7, 2025, and the final payment is due April 14, 2025. Travel insurance available for an additional $549 per person.
The trip includes transportation to and from Maryville to Kansas City International Airport, round-trip airfare, and meals consisting of nine breakfasts, one lunch and four dinners.
Rates are based on double occupancy and departure from Kansas City International Airport and include taxes, fees and hotel transfers. Cancellation waiver and insurance are available for purchase. All rates are per person and subject to change.
Tourin’ Bearcats programs, which are sponsored by the Northwest Alumni Association, are available to the public. Reservations are limited.
