Northwest Missouri State University and the Greater Maryville Chamber of Commerce will commemorate the University’s newest dining location with a grand opening celebration on Thursday, Aug. 29.

Buffalo Wild Wings Go opened in April on the Northwest campus and is the first of its kind on a college campus, offering the retailer’s chicken wings and other classic menu items for dine-in and takeout orders. It is located inside The Station, adjacent to the high-rise residence halls on the west edge of the University campus.

In addition to a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2 p.m., Buffalo Wild Wings Go will give away up to 10 random prizes to customers throughout the day.

The dining area is open to the public from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday and Sunday and 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday. Parking is available in designated spaces in Lot 41 on the west side of The Station and the high-rise residence halls.

In addition to its classic wings, wraps, sandwiches and sides, Buffalo Wild Wings Go offers sauces, rubs, T-shirts and other merchandise for purchase.

It is the latest dining retailer to open on the Northwest campus since the University entered into a seven-year contract last year with Sodexo Operations LLC to manage its campus dining program.

Buffalo Wild Wings Go joins dining options on the Northwest campus that include Starbucks in the B.D. Owens Library. Additionally, the J.W. Jones Student Union offers Chick-fil-A, McAlister’s Deli and Qdoba Mexican Eats as well Bearcat Commons, which is located in the building’s lower level and offers a variety of rotating menu items in an all-you-care-to-eat food court setting.

All Northwest dining locations are open to the public during their regular hours. For more information, including menus and promotions, visit Northwest Campus Dining on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/nwbearcatdining or at https://nwbearcatdining.sodexomyway.com/.

Public parking available

Northwest invites local residents to visit campus dining locations any time they are open, whether it’s to grab a coffee and bagel to start the day, pick up a meal on the way home from work or to simply dine out.

To serve local residents visiting campus, Northwest offers several free, 45-minute visitor parking spaces in Lot 25, located north of the Administration Building, and Lot 38, located east of Owens Library, both within easy walking distance to the Student Union and library.

All faculty and staff and commuter parking areas are open to the public from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday through Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday. Signage indicating the parking designations is posted at the entrance of each lot.

In addition, visitor parking passes are free and may be requested at the University Police Department, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Visitor parking passes allow people to park faculty and staff and student parking lots as well as visitor spaces for up to 72 hours at a time.
