The Office of Diversity and Inclusion at Northwest Missouri State University is now accepting registrations for its spring Social Justice Institute.
The Social Justice Institute, which is open to all Northwest employees, is a five-week cohort program designed to engage participants in authentic dialogue around individual identities, awareness and using allyship through leadership. The goal of the Social Justice Institute is to help create a more inclusive campus environment to enhance student success.
The Office of Diversity and Inclusion is accepting participants to comprise two cohorts of the Social Justice Institute, which will meet from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and from noon to 1:20 p.m. on Thursdays, beginning Jan. 31.
“Though this is not a new program, the Social Justice Institute has been reimagined to fit current Northwest employees and their interests to develop practical, collaborative skills and tools to support, advocate, and advance inclusivity and social change,” Dr. Shay Malone. Northwest’s assistant vice president of diversity and inclusion, said.
