Northwest Missouri State University will celebrate the achievements of its most recent graduating students during winter commencement ceremonies Friday, Dec. 8.
Northwest will host three ceremonies, beginning at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. in Bearcat Arena at the Lamkin Activity Center on the University campus. To accommodate guests who cannot attend, Northwest also offers a live online stream of each ceremony at www.nwmissouri.edu/live.
“Commencement is a momentous ceremony that celebrates the academic success of our students and all they have achieved at Northwest Missouri State,” Dr. Lance Tatum, who is in his first year as the University’s president, said. “Our University community looks forward to hosting families and friends, and recognizing our graduates’ hard work.”
About 1,000 students are expected to complete degrees at the University this fall, with nearly 350 earning bachelor’s degrees and about 650 receiving master’s or education specialist degrees.
