“Earning CRLA recertification is a significant achievement and speaks to the continued hard work of our academic support team and student success leadership,” Dr. Allison Hoffmann, Northwest’s assistant vice president of admissions and student success, said. “I thank our professional staff for investing significant time in the extensive, ongoing training and evaluation of our student staff and to our student tutoring team for their commitment to earning the certification. CRLA recertification ensures Northwest students will continue to receive high-quality peer tutoring, an important component of our student success model.”
For more than 30 years CRLA has been a leader in learning assistance, reading and academic support programs with almost 1,300 members and more than 2,000 certified training programs worldwide.
Through a peer review process, the recertification acknowledges Northwest’s Student Success Center successfully meets CRLA’s high standards for tutor selection, training, direct service and evaluation as an integral part of its overall tutoring program.
