Northwest Missouri State University’s National Public Radio affiliate, KXCV-KRNW, and two other local organizations are partnering to promote family fitness in conjunction with their spring fundraising events.
The organizers of KXCV-KRNW’s Run for Radio April 15 through 29, Maryville R-II School District’s Speedy Spoofhound on April 29 and Ben’s Stockings of Hope Memory Walk on May 27 are collaborating to offer the “Fit Family Challenge.”
People who register for all three of the local 5K run and walk fundraisers have a chance to win family prizes.
“We want to promote healthy living and getting families out to run or walk together,” Helen Konstantopoulos, the membership development and events coordinator for KXCV-KRNW, said. “These 5Ks are for three great local causes.”
The prizes include golf rounds and cabin rental at Mozingo Lake Recreation Park, event space at Hangar Cinema, Maryville Parks and Recreation pool and gym passes, a St. Joseph Mustangs family pack and vacation vouchers.
