Amy Washam, the director of Northwest Missouri State University-Kansas City, recently was appointed to the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP) Accreditation Commission.
Washam will serve a three-year term as the organization’s four-year public post-secondary institutional representative. She has previously served with NACEP as an accreditation peer reviewer and team lead of peer reviewers.
NACEP is a national organization that is committed to supporting programs, practitioners and policy to advance concurrent and dual enrollment programs. As the sole accrediting body for concurrent enrollment partnerships, NACEP works to ensure college courses taught by high school teachers follow the highest standards, so students experience a seamless transition to college and teachers benefit from meaningful, ongoing professional development.
Washam, who has held various roles with Northwest since 2006, has a Master of Business Administration and a bachelor’s degree in industrial psychology from the University.
Northwest-Kansas City is located at the Northland Innovation Campus in Gladstone, Missouri, and offers opportunities to complete undergraduate programs in applied science, business and education as well as the Northwest Dual Credit Program. Northwest-Kansas City also provides client-based training and partners with a variety of organizations to offer credit, non-credit and continuing education professional development prospects.
