Northwest Missouri State University music ensembles are conducting auditions for the 2022-23 academic year, and all Northwest students are invited to participate, regardless of major.
Northwest students participating in music ensembles may receive academic or activity credit.

Any student interested in becoming a member of Northwest jazz ensembles must submit a recorded audition. All audition submissions are due Monday, Aug. 15.
Like all large ensembles at Northwest, the Studio Jazz Ensemble is open to all students at the University, regardless of major, and does not require an audition. Interested musicians should contact Dr. William Richardson at billr@nwmissouri.edu and indicate the instrument they play.

Auditions for the Northwest Wind Symphony are Saturday, Aug. 13, for brass and percussion and Sunday, Aug. 14, for woodwinds. Any student interested in becoming a member of the Wind Symphony must audition.

The Concert Band is open to all students at the University regardless of major; no audition is required. Interested musicians may send an email to fparts@nwmissouri.edu and indicate the instrument they play.
The Bearcat Marching Band
Students interested in participating in the Bearcat Marching Band must register for mandatory camps as soon as possible. Camp dates and details as well as a season schedule are accessible by clicking the link below. For more information, email nwbands@nwmissouri.edu.

The University Chorale is a large choral organization open to all students at Northwest. The Chorale presents a concert each semester, and its repertoire ranges from classical to gospel, and contemporary to Broadway. There is no audition requirement for membership in the University Chorale.
The Celebration choir
Any student interested in becoming a member of Tower Choir or the Madraliers, which becomes the Celebration show choir during the spring semester, must audition. Auditions for Tower Choir and the Madraliers/Celebration are Saturday, Aug. 13, through Tuesday, Aug. 16.
