Northwest Missouri State University’s online Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree ranks among the best in the Midwest, according to CEO Magazine’s 2022 Global MBA Rankings.
CEO Magazine, which has showcased top business schools throughout the world with its annual Global MBA Rankings since 2012, ranks Northwest at No. 87 in the world. It is the only Missouri institution to appear in the magazine’s Global Online MBA ranking.
Accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs, Northwest’s on-campus and online MBA programs give students an opportunity to become business leaders by developing skills in ethical decision making, financial planning, quantitative analysis, policy formulation and interpersonal relationships as well as an understanding of the emerging global economy.
Northwest’s online MBA programs help students to complete a general degree or specialize in an area of interest, including business analytics, human resource management, management and marketing. Starting in the fall, Northwest will begin offering specializations in accounting, finance, geographic information systems (GIS) and healthcare administration.
For individuals with an undergraduate business degree, the MBA can be completed within 12 months.
“The MBA programs offered by the Melvin D. and Valorie G. Booth School of Business are focused on providing professionals the skills and credentials needed for the next stage of their careers,” Ben Blackford, the director of Northwest’s Melvin D. & Valorie G. Booth School of Business and an associate professor of business, said. “The addition of several high-demand concentrations for the upcoming fall 2022 term, such as finance and accounting, serve as a great example of this focus. We have excellent faculty with industry experience, a program foundation that provides broad business knowledge and courses structured to provide a wide range of learning opportunities.”
To build its rankings, the magazine contacted business schools throughout North America as well as Australia, Brazil, China, Europe, India, New Zealand, Russia and South Africa. The rankings are based on data schools offering MBA programs in 27 countries.
Using a ranking system weighted on criteria that includes quality of faculty, international diversity, class size, accreditation, price and professional development, CEO Magazine aims to provide potential students with a performance benchmark for the schools it reviews.
