Northwest Missouri State University has announced options for students to return textbooks as they complete summer courses and for textbook and laptop pickup in anticipation of the fall semester.
All textbooks checked out from Textbook Services must be returned, either in person or by shipment, by Saturday, Aug. 8, to avoid late or replacement fees. Textbooks for seven-week Block 2 courses are due once those courses are complete on Friday, Aug. 14.
A paid UPS return shipping label for summer textbooks is provided for students on the Textbook Services website. Northwest will not reimburse students who use a different shipping label to return their textbooks.
Students in the Kansas City area may return books at Northwest-Kansas City, located at 6889 North Oak Trafficway in Gladstone, Missouri. Students may return textbooks during regular business hours between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Students enrolled in fall courses may pick up textbooks in The Station during the following hours:

Beginning Monday, Aug. 3, Northwest’s Information Technology staff will begin issuing laptop computers for the 2020-21 academic year.
New laptop computers are provided to full-time students, who are undergraduate students enrolled in 12 or more credit hours and graduate students enrolled in nine or more credit hours. Students classified as part-time receive the University’s previous laptop model.
Students who kept their laptop during the summer must bring the computer and charger with the “Property of Northwest Missouri State University” sticker to exchange it for the new model. Exchanges will not be completed without both the laptop and charger.
Students must be enrolled in fall 2020 courses and present their Bearcat Card when checking out or exchanging a laptop computer. Freshman and transfer students for fall 2020 also must complete the Laptop Agreement, which is accessible by logging into CatPAWS and clicking the Personal Information tab.
Laptop exchanges and checkouts will be offered throughout the fall semester during the hours below at the Jon T Rickman Electronic Campus Support Center. Due to COVID-19, all individuals entering the building must wear a face covering, and only one student is allowed in the building at one time.
For more information about laptop pickup and exchanges, contact Northwest's Information Technology Helpdesk at helpdesk@nwmissouri.edu or 660.562.1634.
