Amy Washam, the assistant director of Northwest Missouri State University-Kansas City, recently received the Chairman’s Choice Award in appreciation for her work with the Gladstone Area Chamber of Commerce.
Washam joined the Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors in January 2018 and serves as its vice president of education. The Chamber serves the Gladstone-area business and residential communities through promotion, improvement and protection of the area’s social and business environments.
As assistant director of Northwest-Kansas City, Washam is responsible for coordinating the University’s dual credit program and the hiring of adjunct instructors at Northwest-Kansas City as well as assisting with the center’s operations.
She has a Master of Business Administration and a bachelor’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology, both from Northwest.
Northwest-Kansas City, which is located at the Northland Innovation Campus in Gladstone, offers opportunities to complete undergraduate completion programs in applied science, business, marketing, communication, education, health science, psychology and technology.
