Links will be applied in a few different ways. They may be part of a data definition or applied in a WYSIWYG editor.
- Internal links - references to an asset managed in Cascade. Pages, PDFs, images, etc. are all likely uses for integral links. In general, links should be created with "internal" for all things on the nwmissouri.edu site. This allows Cascade to manage relationships for easier maintenance.
- External link - a link going to somewhere outside of what Cascade manages.
TIP - consider setting the 'target' to 'new window' so a user will see the clicked link in a new tab and not lose their place in your site.
- Anchor link - A link that goes to a particular spot within same page or a different page. More on anchoring links from Cascade CMS Knowledge Base.
TIP: When styling a link inserted via WYSIWYG editor you can apply some of our pre-established button styles. More on button styles on our web styles page.
Also, check for broken links with Cascade's Broken Link Report or use Siteimprove tools to monitor for broken links.
