About

I serve as the Alumni Relations and Communications Specialist at Northwest Missouri State University, where I have the opportunity to connect with alumni, share Bearcat stories, and support university events and communications. My career has included roles in alumni engagement, higher education marketing, communications, and event planning. Before transitioning into higher education, I began my professional career as a high school Spanish teacher. While I still enjoy tutoring Spanish virtually, I discovered my passion for communications, marketing, and building meaningful connections through storytelling and engagement.

As a student at Northwest, I was involved in a variety of campus organizations and activities. I sang in Celebration, Tower Choir, and University Chorale, performed in two university musicals, and was a member of Sigma Alpha Iota Music Fraternity. I also worked several campus jobs, including Career Services Career Ambassador, University Police Dispatcher, and University Marketing and Communications Event Intern. Beyond work and music, I was involved with CRU Ministry, served on the St. Jude Executive Board, participated in Northwest ComCats, and rarely missed a Bearcat football game. Those experiences helped shape my love for Northwest and the incredible community it fosters.

My husband, Seth, and I live in Albany with our son, Theo, and our dog. We have another baby joining our family this winter! Over the past year, we've been renovating a cottage in the country. A project that has become one of our favorite hobbies. I love sharing our renovation journey, DIY projects, and home inspiration on social media. When we're not working on the house, we enjoy spending time outdoors, traveling to visit family and friends, and finding new recipes to cook and bake together.

Returning to my alma mater has been incredibly rewarding. I'm grateful for the opportunity to strengthen connections within the Bearcat community and help create meaningful experiences for alumni and friends of Northwest. Once a Bearcat, always a Bearcat!
