About

Leisha retired as a vice president from Cerner Corporation, a leading Healthcare IT company in Kansas City, Missouri, after 30 years of service. She joined Cerner in its infancy, as one of fewer than 100 associates and saw the company grow to become publicly traded with over 22,000 associates worldwide. Her career included many facets of client service from project management, client relationship management and operational management of various teams large and small. Some of her most valued experiences included working with hospitals outside the U.S. that were transforming the way healthcare is delivered.

Since retirement Leisha has been active on various philanthropic boards and involved in volunteer projects. She recently served as the interim executive director for the Liberty Public Schools Foundation and completed service as president of the Liberty Hospital Foundation.

Leisha and her husband, Ken, live in Liberty, Missouri, and have three grown children.

Why are you "forever green"?

"As with many Bearcats, I came to Northwest from a 'one-light' rural community. The environment was welcoming and continued to build on the work ethic that many students brought with them. I continued to be connected with Northwest as many innovative and hardworking graduates joined Cerner Corporation in Kansas City. Giving back, to continue the legacy of an innovative university in the heartland, is why I am forever green."
