Other Professional Experiences
Prior to arriving at Northwest in 2017, Dr. Brown was an assistant professor in music education at Ball State University in Muncie, IN during the 2016-2017 school year. She also served as a teaching assistant and later a visiting professor in music education/music therapy at the University of Kansas from 2011-2016 and as an adjunct professor of music at Johnson County Community College, Overland Park, KS, from 2000-2018. Before and along with collegiate teaching, Dr. Brown taught elementary general music and children’s chorus and served as a general music facilitator in the Olathe, KS public school district.
