Faculty recital: Dr. Rachel Day

Dr. Rachel Day, an assistant professor in the Department of Fine and Performing Arts who specializes in vocal performance, will present a faculty recital, titled “Old Friends, Revisited.” It is free and open to the public.

Day will perform music by composers she encountered during her musical studies in high school, including pieces by Beethoven and Mendelssohn on piano. She also will perform jazz standards and an opera aria she sang as a first-year graduate student. Additionally, with accompaniment by Dr. Jiwon Choi, Day will sing duets with Dr. Elise Hepworth, the dean of Northwest's College of Arts and Sciences.
