Why Study Law and Politics at Northwest

The mission of the minor in law and politics program is to successfully educate students from diverse backgrounds in the fundamental skills, knowledge, and application of law, legal systems, and political institutions through courses in order to:

Prepare them for positions associated with the legal system, law, or applicable government or non-governmental institutions and organizations.
Prepare them for continuing for advanced degrees in disciplines related to law, political science, and public policy. The program promotes a commitment to continued scholarship and service among graduates and will foster a spirit of innovation in an environment that is inclusive and diverse.
