Program(s) Available: B.S.
Echocardiography is using ultrasound for viewing images of the heart. If you are interested in learning to use the equipment for viewing a person's heart valves, chambers and vessels a major in echocardiography may be for you!
Students enrolled in this program will have a foundation in general biology, general chemistry, physics and medical terminology. The echocardiography courses are taught by the affiliated hospitals' schools of echocardiography.
Acceptance into an affiliated program is competitive and will be determined by the quality of academic work completed by the student during the first two years of study. Admission to the clinical portion of the program is decided entirely by the affiliated medical center. Acceptance into the University does not guarantee the student's acceptance by an affiliated program.
