Kindergarten Teacher
I enjoy exploring the great outdoors, walks and runs with my husky, spending time with my three children and husband, watching my children's (many) activities, gardening, reading, movies, board games, bike rides, and exploring the world through travel.
Although I find it inspiring and interesting to work with children of all ages, Early Childhood is my passion. To be involved in the children's wonderings and assisting in their developing of their theories of how the world works, as well as encouraging children to engage in play, discovery and working together brings me absolute joy. Watching the children develop as the school year unfolds while progressing through the appropriate stages of growth, as well as learning how to work with their friends to become an important part of their school family is my very favorite part. The highlight of working with children for me is watching each individual become the best version of themselves.
To work with our team of Early Childhood Educators to provide not only the best care for children, but also a home away from home for my children and families. I also intend to grow in my knowledge of Early Childhood through classroom experience, my courses of studies, as well as through professional development.
This is my third year here at the center, coming here as an alumni of Northwest Missouri State University. I look forward to beginning our journey as a school family in the Fall of 2018!
