About Melissa
Dr. Melissa Van Buren is the employee wellness coordinator in the Office of Human Resources. Melissa has a bachelor's degree in exercise science, a master's degree in nutrition and earned her doctoral degree in naturopathic medicine from the National University of Naturopathic Medicine. Melissa's philosophy on health and wellness centers around the tenants of naturopathic medicine. Melissa embraces the tenant "docere," meaning "doctor as teacher," and enjoys educating her patients about their own health and wellness. In this role, Melissa provides health and wellness education to employees at Northwest.
