As a sophomore in high school, Sheldon came to campus as a reserved student with little desire in student organizations. However, that slowly changed, and he became more involved. As a freshman, Ledbetter was recognized as the top freshman in his major in the School of Computer Science and Information Systems.
While at Northwest, Ledbetter was a teaching assistant for six semesters. He also interned for two summers at Omaha Public Power District in the cybersecurity department that lead to a full-time position in the cybersecurity department. With the help from of his family and teachers, Sheldon graduated career ready, day one.
