“Northwest gave me the courage to pursue my dreams because I knew that I would have people that wouldn’t lead me down the wrong path, who would help support me in all I do and be there for me if I ever failed.”
Natasha Helme
History and Professional Writing
Graduating Class: 2019
Hometown: Wentzville, Missouri
Major: History and Professional Writing
Other Activities:
Natasha’s passion for history and writing paired with the vast hands-on learning opportunities she experienced at Northwest helped prepare her for her future. Classes such as History of the Holocaust taught her how to break down the complexity of different societies and learn how the past affected the world we live in today. Natasha also completed two internships – one with the Green Tower Press where she wrote and published news releases, and one conducting research for the German Historical Institute.
She was inspired to continue her education by enrolling in graduate school. Before graduating with her history and professional writing degrees, she got a jumpstart in her graduate studies while by taking two graduate-level courses in Germany and Poland preparing her for success in her future.
