Jackie always dreamed of being a fourth-grade teacher. She chose Northwest-Kansas City not only because of the convenient location, but more importantly because of the excellent reputation of the education program. After starting the program, Jackie learned she would experience hands-on experiences beginning her first year.
As part of her content practicum, Jackie spent a summer at a local school teaching fifth graders math. To increase her exposure to a career as a teacher, she taught guided reading lessons to a group of first graders. These hands-on experiences are a few of the reasons that Jackie graduated career-ready, day one.
