Elicia was drawn to Northwest because of the inviting, family atmosphere she experienced during a college visit in high school. However, the guidance of faculty only motivated her to push herself beyond her expectations. She believes classes such as Knacktive gave her the real-world experience of working on a team to benefit their client, the city of Maryville. She took advantage of all Northwest had to offer her by becoming involved with multiple organizations and completing four web development and digital internships with SSM Health, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Glynndevins Senior Living Advertising Agency and Northwest Missouri Regional Council of Governments. These experiences helped Elicia secure a job the day she graduated, making her career ready, day one.
