Astrid Reynoso Zaragoza, a junior biochemistry major, attributes her success at Northwest to the relationships she established with her professors. Through these relationships, she realized her love for science and passion for the medical field.
Astrid chose Northwest after a campus visit because it gave her a feeling of home and acceptance. She stepped out of her comfort zone, began interacting with her professors and took advantage of academic opportunities.
Astrid believes it is important to get involved on campus to meet new people and find opportunities for personal growth.
"Don't be afraid to get out of your comfort zone and do things you never thought you could. You would be surprised about what you can accomplish here. Northwest has a lot of options for you here and a lot of resources for you to succeed. Take advantage of that."
