Ashton chose to study at Northwest-Kansas City because it allowed her to work during the day and take classes at night while staying close to home. She also completed a sales internship with C.H. Robinson, a shipping and logistics company where she received firsthand learning about the corporate business world.
Because of the hands-on learning at Northwest Kansas City, Ashton gained the necessary skills to start her career at Cerner Corporation after graduation, making her career ready, day one.
