As an emergency and disaster management and human services major at Northwest, Abby knew should would graduate with hands-on experiences that ensured she was prepared for her future.
Abby participated in Missouri Hope, an intensive three-day emergency and disaster simulation that is required of all majors or minors in emergency and disaster management. She began Missouri Hope as a deputy, and faculty eventually promoted her to a leadership position that allowed her to gain additional skills.
Abby’s interactions with faculty and staff, coupled with profession-based learning experiences, ensured she graduated career ready, day one.
