I love to listen to a good story. I believe the greatest gift one person can give another is a story they can tell for the rest of their life. Stories connect us to a specific time and place. I love to hear why you chose Northwest, who was important, and how it set a path for your future. I can’t wait to hear your Northwest story and tell you mine.
I was raised on a small farm east of Kansas City and came to Northwest in 1984. I joined Delta Chi Fraternity and obtained a degree in broadcasting/business. My career includes work in commercial radio sales, customer service within the printing industry, and professional voiceover talent for radio and TV. Life has taken me from the farm to Maryville, to Liberty, to Southwest Florida and back to Maryville. I returned to KXCV at Northwest in June 2013 and the Advancement office in January 2017.
I enjoy giving back to my community. My late friend, Jack, once shared, “when you earn your living from the community, you must give back to that community.” I live by Jack’s mandate every day. Sometimes it’s as simple as holding a door for someone, giving a stranger a friendly hello, or serving others through civic organizations in Maryville. I am the father of three daughters and a grandfather to Shea, Max, Townes, and Gus. My wife, Andrea, is also a Bearcat and serves Northwest as the reading Specialist at Horace Mann Elementary Lab School.
