Admissions Criteria
Students wanting to attend Northwest, but not pursuing a degree can be accepted as an undergraduate, non-degree-seeking student. The criteria to be accepted include:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Provide proof of high school graduation
- Students who graduated high school within the last two years must meet regular admission standards
- The ACT exam is recommended for advisement purposes
*Students under academic suspension, disciplinary suspension or probation from an institution will not be admitted.
Continuing Student Requirements
After students have been accepted to Northwest, the following is a list of requirements to maintain the classification of a non-degree-seeking student:
- Enroll in up to six credit hours per semester
- Earn up to 18 semester credit hours
*To continue taking coursework beyond 18 credit hours, a student will have to reapply as a degree-seeking student and meet regular admission requirements.
*Non-degree-seeking students are not eligible to receive federal student financial aid.
