Apply for Housing

If you plan on living on campus, fill out our housing application beginning Nov. 1. For Fall 2025 students, this will put you in line to select your preferred housing at the end of March. If you are a Spring 2025 student, you will be assigned a room and residence hall.

If this is your first time logging in to the housing system, you will need to set up your Northwest email account first. 

Housing Application

1. Click here to log into the Housing Portal
   • Log in with your s-number and password.
   • If this is your first time logging into the Housing Portal, you will see an option to watch an introduction video. Watch the video, or scroll down and click “Continue.”
2. Click Housing Forms in the left-hand column.
3. Click Housing Applications.
4. Click Freshman Housing Application.
5. Complete your application!

Agricultural Sciences and Elementary Education Majors: Once your housing application is complete, you will gain access to the application for the Living Learning Community for your major. Click here for more information about our LLC’s.

Roommate Module

Once your application is complete, you will gain access to the roommate module.

1. Click Roommates & Rooms in the left-hand column.
   • You will then see everyone who may be joining you in the fall! As they get active in the system, their profiles will come alive.
2. Start your roommate selection process!
   • Click Update Profile to share a little about yourself with potential friends and roommates.
   • Click Update Questionnaire to answer the roommate match questions and find out who is a good match to live with.
   • Students won’t be able to lock in their roommate until January 15, 2025, so take your time to get to know your possible future roommate!

• Click Chat to see your conversations with other students or staff.
• Click Community and share your posts with everyone!
• Click Announcements to see important information shared by Northwest.

Are you a commuter?

Commuter students must meet the requirements of a commuter and plan on living off-campus. Be sure to submit your commuter card.
