Northwest softball canceled due to weather
MARYVILLE, Mo. – Winter weather continues to play havoc with the Northwest Missouri State spring schedules as the Teri Mathis-Zenner Memorial Tournament has been canceled leaving the softball program with an open weekend.
The Bearcats are currently 8-4 overall and have not started MIAA play yet, but have two nonconference tournaments under their belt.
Senior Jenna Creger is currently 4-1 in five starts this season and ranks second in the MIAA in ERA with a 0.72 earned run average. Creger has 40 strikeouts in 34.0 innings pitched this season.
Hailee Hendricks is off to a great start in her senior campaign as she is hitting .474 while slugging .684. Stephanie Price leads the Bearcats in home runs with three this season and has knocked in nine RBIs.
Northwest has their home opener scheduled for March 8 with a double-header against Lincoln with first pitch slated for 1 p.m. at Bearcat Field.
