The Hornets went back on top plating two runs in the third inning. The Bearcats were able to get one run across in the fourth when Garber scored from third on a wild pitch to knot the game up at 3-3.
ESU had an offensive explosion in the fourth inning as they scored five runs on six hits to take an 8-3 lead.
The Hornets scored one run in the sixth inning to add to their lead. Northwest got a run back in the seventh when Tyler Durant hit a solo home run to left field making the score 9-4.
