Faculty Office Calls

  • Librarians at Owens Library provide one-on-one research assistance to Northwest faculty members. During a customized "office call" you can explore library resources for teaching or research from your own office, on your own computer.

  • Tell us your topic or area of interest, and we'll supply suggestions for finding materials.

Call Carolyn Johnson or Lori Mardis at ext. 1393 to schedule an appointment.

This service is effective for faculty working on books, articles, dissertations, research projects, and models for undergraduate and graduate research projects, as well as developing materials for online or classroom courses.

Faculty Office Call appointments can help with:

  • building a review of literature for publication
  • searching for "what's out there" on an idea you have for publication
  • developing course-specific units or unit items in eCompanion
  • collaborating on an assignment for your students involving research
  • learning more about how the library's Help with Research service can assist your students
  • reviewing Interlibrary Loan services.
