  1. Go to the PBS Kids site at http://pbskids.org
  2. Choose a show (example: Between the Lions)
  3. Search for items on show's site:
  • Parents and Teachers or Caregivers
  • About the Show
  • Awards

To find PBS show information on the Web:
  1. Go to the Google Advanced Search at http://www.google.com/advanced_search?hl=en
  2. Type the name of the show in "with the exact phrase" box
  3. Type research in the "with all of the words" box

To find PBS show information in ERIC:
  1. Go to the Owens Library Web site at http://www.nwmissouri.edu/library
  2. Click "Articles & Guides"
    (NOTE: Off-campus users will need to follow the "directions for off-campus access to ALL library databases" before proceeding)
  3. In the "Databases" box, scroll down and click "ERIC"
  4. In the "Find" box, type "(research or program effectiveness or program evaluation or stud*) and SU 'your show's name'"

  1. Click the "Search" button
        Note: To find out if Owens Library subscribes to a periodical:
        
    1. Go to the Owens Library Web site at http://www.nwmissouri.edu/library
    2. Click "Library Catalog"
    3. Click "Journal, Magazine & Newspaper"
    4. Type the "title of the periodical" (not the article title) and click the "Search" button

To find PBS show information in Education Full Text:
  1. Go to the Owens Library Web site at http://www.nwmissouri.edu/library
  2. Click "Articles & Guides"
    (NOTE:
    Off-campus users will need to follow the "directions for off-campus access to ALL library databases" before proceeding)
  3. In the "Links to Databases" box, scroll down and click "Education Full Text"
  4. In the first "Search For:"box, type "your show's name" and in the drop-down "as:"box select "Subject(s)"

  3. Click "SUBJECT (Library of Congress)"
  4. Type "Public Television" and click the "Search" button
