Some periodicals (journals, magazines, newspapers) have a specific political perspective. For example, what gets covered in a Liberal periodical may not be expressed in a Conservative periodical, and vice versa. The following examples may be helpful if a research assignment or project requires analyzing a topic from one or more political perspectives.

Telos publishes articles that cover subjects such as: contemporary academia,
culture and religion in the United States, the Commonwealth of Independent
States, and Eastern Europe, using continental philosophy and focusing
on deconstruction, the Frankfurt school, and Foucault. Utilize the table
of contents of previous and current issues to view a few selected articles
online without a subscription.

With a libertarian/market-liberal
slant, Cato covers public policy including Social security, monetary
and natural resources policies, and military spending. This site provides

strong conservative and libertarian writings on American foreign policy

The articles in Monthly Review, a scholarly magazine, cover workers and
labor organizers no less than to academics and against class exploitation,
no less than against racial and sexual oppressions. This site provides

The Nation is one of the most openly left-wing publications
in existence. This publication contains articles that target ideological
opposites and covers a wide range of current issues. The site features
an index of issues from 1999 to the present. Selected articles are freely
available in full-text, while full access to all articles is limited to
subscribers.

Statesman Access

Readings focus on news and politics of greatest interest in
the United Kingdom. The New Statesman site has an archive that goes back
to 1995. A few full-text articles are available from the current issue,
but most require a subscription to view.

A Washington D.C. based magazine with a strong partisan focus
